What is Home?

For this project, I decided to explore the theme of home. As a college student and soon-to-be graduate, I’ve been thinking a lot about what it means to be “at home”. Is home Seattle, where I’m from? Is it Westmont? Is it where I’ll live in the future? Or is it people, an object, or a construct?

To explore this idea, I decided to ask questions about home. Each one of these drawings explores the question “Is home…?” By attempting to give it an answer. I’ve found that there is no singular object or place or person that is home. Home is so many things.
